Preparing Your Child for Kindergarten

At RSA we strive to create a balanced environment where your child has the freedom to explore, but also experiences structured instruction in our pre-k, four year old class. Our early childhood classroom is slightly different than our other classrooms. First, we create the room as a learning community. In this community we build the academic skills he or she needs to be successful in kindergarten. Secondly, we work on interpersonal skills, such as how to get along, deal with conflict, and to have respect for themselves as well as others.

We are aligned with the Florida State Sunshine Academic Common Core. As such, your child is taught:

• Literacy concepts and numbers.
• Cooperation and communication skills.
• Learning independence.
